Experience the Side by Side Difference

0

You love to ride ATVs. You’ve been out on four wheelers for most of your life, rolling off into the wilderness, across the desert, and up rocky trails. You thought nothing could be better until you drove your first UTV. A side by side is based on the same concept as a four wheeler, but you drive it like a car and you have a roll cage around you. Think of it like a dune buggy. You can go in all of the same places, but you have some added protection keeping you safe if you run into trouble. Best of all, you can have someone riding shotgun or in the back to share in your adventures.

Enhancing Your Ride

Once you’ve found the model that you like, the next thing you need to do is to experiment with accessories that will help your machine to go the distance. A side by side is built for endurance. It’s meant to take on challenging conditions and make it to your destination. That doesn’t mean that you can’t tweak it. UTV suspension parts are a plus if you are looking to have more give when you are out rolling or you plan on taking your machine over some serious rocks. Don’t forget to add wheels and tires that are geared for the type of riding you plan on doing. You’ll need one set for paved riding and another for rock crawling.

Think About Essentials

There are some accessories that should be at the top of your list. A winch is going to be your best friend. If you are alone and you get stuck in the mud, you can hook your winch on to a tree or rock to pull you out. This piece of equipment really comes in handy when others are out riding with you. When your friends or people you meet on the trail get stuck, you can be the cavalry. Consider adding a roof and a windshield if you want to hold off the worst of the elements. You can enclose your entire machine if you plan on riding when it’s cold. Add a heater to keep things toasty when you are on the go. Additional lights will ensure that you are prepared for a night of late riding. You never know when you might have to stay over or find your way in the dark.
